How Florida Skiffs planted its roots in the marine industry
Florida Skiffs LLC grew out of the idea that skiff owners deserve a place that takes pride in the work, every repair, every fix, every detail. What began in a Winter Springs garage has become a shop built on trust, reputation, and craftsmanship refined through years of dedicated work.
We’re a grassroots operation, not a showroom. No big crews, no rush jobs, no shortcuts. Just honest, hands-on work from people who care about the boats in front of them. From fiberglass repairs, broken transoms, new nonskid, full rewires, gelcoat repairs, and full restorations, everything that leaves our shop is something we’d be proud to show off.
Our experience comes straight from the heart of the industry. Before starting Florida Skiffs LLC, Nick spent years at Hell’s Bay Boatworks. He was the lead the finishing department, where flawless gelcoat work and clean final details were the only option. From there he moved into the service department, handling repairs, structural issues, rewires, and custom jobs for owners who demanded the best. That blend of high-level finishing and practical, problem-solving service work is the foundation of how we approach every boat today.
When you bring your skiff to us, we know it matters. Whether it needs a small repair, a simple upgrade, or a full rebuild, we take the work seriously and make sure it’s done right.
No smoke and mirrors. Just solid craftsmanship for the boat you trusted us with.
Florida Skiffs LLC is built by skiff people, for skiff people — one boat at a time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Licensed guides receive a reduced rate on select services. Their boats work hard, and we’re committed to helping them stay on the water.
Our schedule changes day to day depending on the size of the jobs in the shop, which is why we don’t post hard timelines online. Some repairs take longer, but smaller jobs can often be squeezed in much sooner than people expect. The best way to get an accurate answer is to give us a call — we can look at the current workload and let you know exactly where your skiff fits in.
Not at all!
We work on skiffs and most bay boats with no problem, but offshore boats can be too big for our location. If that’s the case, we do offer mobile service.
